I live a fairly ordinary life. You know, the usual.
I think my greatest fault is that I think too much. I consider possibilities for every situation, and then I get depressed because I think about what I want in life and then realise that my current situation bears only the vaguest of resemblances to it. Time is on my side, but I'm an impatient bugger so the waiting thing doesn't work especially well. Things are finally happening though - I'm now engaged to ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) directorratbag, and we have just bought a house. Things are moving forward.
I am a teacher, although in an idealistic world, I would love to be a photographer. I'm slowly learning some techniques, but breaking into the professional market is a long way away - mostly because of my own concerns about charging people for work that is, in my opinion, inadequate. Someday I'll have the confidence to take that step.
I have two cats, Elphaba Xanthe Pumpkin and Sodpot Sooky-La-La Commando. For the sake of brevity, I only use their first names! I'm new to the cat thing, having previously had a dog (see memorial down the page).
